We are a full service facility, providing new and used car sales, financing, accessories, parts, collision repair, and an award-winning service department.  We strive day-in and day-out to meet the needs of our clients, in the showroom, on the service drive, and in the community.

Here at Hunter, we have over 20 years of technical service experience and over $500 thousand in parts inventory. 

Our History
The Dealership was established in 1940 as Hunter Chevrolet Company on South Main Street in Hendersonville, NC.  The Dealership quickly built a reputation for reliable service, quality workmanship and dependability.  Service to our customers and hard work seemed to go hand in hand with success in the early years.

In order to meet the ever-expanding need for space, the Dealership undertook the construction of a new facility in 1948 at Five Points in Hendersonville, NC.  Hunter Chevrolet flourished, growing to the point where larger facilities were required.  In 1966, the Dealership undertook construction of a large, modern facility at our present location. Our new facility permitted an expansion of business volume and provided Dealership employees with the finest possible working facilities.  In order maintain the Hunter Lotbest facilities for our customers and employees, we have made several expansions to our current building:

  • 1983 – Customer lounge, corporate offices, conference room added
  • 1986 – New car showroom space doubled
  • 1995 – Standalone Used Car building constructed
  • 2002 – Renovated the front façade
  • 2003 – Renovated the customer lounge to include workspaces and food court
  • In process – Pro Shop, which will stock Automotive Accessories

As evidence of the continued success of the Dealership, three separate manufacturers have awarded us additional franchises: Volvo – 1973, Subaru – 1977, Hyundai – 1991
